Waves, rolling to the shore, rising and falling, echo an eternal rhythm. The Queen of the Waves, her shawl a sail to the wind, pays homage to the universal current of life.

In the tradition of Faroese shawls, it is worked from the bottom edge. Its central gusset is then shaped at the neck to give the shawl a structure that allows it to sit easily on the shoulders. Offered in two sizes, the Queen of the Waves may be worked as a shoulder shawl or as the full-size shawl pictured.

Note:

be very careful to choose a circular needle that has smooth joints. This will make it easier for you to move the wraps along as you work the stitch patterns.
